Dispute letter for incorrect personal information
Use this when your name, address, employer, or Social Security number is wrong or belongs to someone else.
When to use this template
- Addresses you never lived at appear on your report.
- Names, birth dates, or SSN variations that aren't yours.
- Your file looks mixed with another consumer's.
Sample letter
Replace everything in [brackets], and send one letter to each bureau that shows the error.
